Empty inside,
I am a tumbleweed,
Subject to desolation,
Aimless in direction
Dried up and fragile.

Scared inside,
I am a promise,
Filled with false hopes,
Craving attention,
Curious and naive.

Angry inside,
I am an echo,
Conveying deep pain,
Resounding infinitely,
Shattering rationality.

Timid inside,
I am a breath,
Attempting to hide,
Always discovered,
Clinging to nothing.

Confused inside,
I am a grain of sand,
Willed by the wind,
Usefulness questioned,
Alone, yet surrounded.

Loved inside,
I am a sunbeam,
Renewed every morning,
Warm and content,
Forever delighted.
